Movies to Watch

Must-watch Movie! Read on, but first, some ranting. Haha.

Whoever said graduates can slack after graduation show, is a liar! Guess I’m one of those dumb ones, since I thought I can slack after graduation too. Reality is harsh.

If you are not one of those rich brats who can live by your parents’ money, you will most probably go through a process call job hunt…. I’m now busy with job-hunting business, preparing stuff for the different interviews. I skipped one interview which I didn’t want to go, but had been to 2 other interviews. There’ll be another one next week, of which they requested me to do a testwork with After Effects using the files they sent me, to test my skills. The test seems fun and interesting, but there goes my weekend. Ah well, being busy can be a good thing I guess. (Wait a minute, did I say the test is -fun-? Oh mann, now that’s strange…)

Anyway, since I’m out of school, I do have more time for something call ‘life’. I want my life back, and I think this time, I might actually take time out to watch a movie or two. Haha! Speaking about movies…

Congrats to Blue Sky for Horton’s $45+ million opening. This was much needed, since there’s been an onslaught of lower-performing animation films recently. I have not seen the movie yet, but I hope to get a chance to watch. The visuals coupled with the animation looks great from the trailers, but I don’t want to expect too much out of the story or I may go in with too much high hopes. Anybody wanna tell me how’s the movie?

But this film, oh oh, will definitely be in my must-watch list. WALL•E by Disney and Pixar. It may most probably be Pixar’s best film yet. One can only expect greatness from them. Just look at the awesome trailer:
WALL•E Trailer
Saw the trailer? Awesome isn’t it? The space sequence is beautiful and it does look to be mostly a movie without dialogue, so it got me really curious. Good movie to watch on one of my June weekends.

They like to ‘move it, move it’…They like to ‘Move it’!
‘They’ referring to the folks from the Madagascar movie. Yup, Madagascar 2: The Crate Escape, is ‘moving’ into cinema theaters in November 2008. I really wonder… is it really necessary to have another Madagascar movie? Did they really make that much money from movie 1 to be producing another movie? Hoping to make another bundle out of this 2nd movie? I dunno if I’m watching this… I’m having mixed thoughts about this movie… but will think about it when the time comes. Here’s the trailer if anyone’s interested.

I love animation movies… I got the love because I was participating in a project regarding 3D animation two years back  it was a joy interviewing all the humoures animators and watching endless trailers as part of our project (for the watching trailers part, I doubt it, but heck!)

Wall E is going to be a high anticipated film :) it kind of reminds me of E.T. for some reason. I love the sad, longing eyes of the lonely robot in the poster.
