Chibi L
Aww. Chibi L! Kawaii!

Now here’s an awesome figurine that’s so cute, you can’t help but go “SQUEEEE~” (even for a guy). By now, everyone should be familiar with the eyelined pale dude, L. He’s so popular that he has his own movie, his own DS game, his own line of sweets! What’s more, his infamous Nendronoid figurine from Good Smile Company is up for RE-release after popular demand, so grab them now!

L isn’t the only one basking in limelight when it comes to his Nendronoid form. Light, Misa and Ryuk are all making a comeback in their cutest form (see below). Each character has a selection of heads and arms for different poses and are around 10cm tall. These figurines are almost sold-out before they’re even on the shelves (even if they’re 40 bucks per figurine!) Personally, I think they make great gifts for a Deathnote fanatic.

Deathnote Figurines
Chibi Kira, Ryuk, Misa! I dunno about you, but Ryuk looks frigging awesome (not as awesome as L tho. Heh)

The official Japanese website for Konami’s Death Note games has posted a promotional video(watch below) for L: The Prologue to Death Note - Rasen no Wana (Spiral Trap). The story is set before the Kira investigation depicted in the suspense manga series by Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ooba. L game

The player assumes the role of a rookie FBI agent who is knocked out during an undercover investigation. The player wakes up in a strange hotel and tries to escape despite the various traps laid out throughout the building. The genius detective L provides help via a PDA, and the player feeds L information that is gathered throughout the hotel and outside. The software also includes a separate “L Communicator” mode in which users can make friends with L by giving him sweets. If the user succeeds in making friends with L, L will “talk” with the user via voice.

And yup, this game only has L, no Kira. Sorry Kira fans. No Kira this time. But if you’re a L fan, it will be like a dream come true to be able to work with L. Isn’t it? However, the game is only available in Japanese, and I don’t think it will be translated to English any time soon. Just wait a while, there will be probably be a FAQ/translation FAQ on GameFAQs soon.

Back then when the official announcement for the L movie was made, my friend (a Kira fan) made the comment, “What?! Why a L movie? There’s no justice for Kira!” I answered, “Who wants to watch a movie about how a smarty-pants prepares for his semester exams?” ( >.>)

The game doesn’t seem all that good to me.
But hey, L has such a sexy voice~ I wouldn’t mind playing~

Kira and L
Santa L: I wanna play ‘Deliver the presents’… *pulls cart*
Reindeer Kira: Go ahead *evil grins*
