Fusion’08 Day 2

Fusion entrance. (almost tripped on the wooden platform thrice. lucky me.)  Went to school early again to fix the light which was glaring into my portfolio. I tried my best to fix the problem. It’s still a little glaring but still better than day 1’s.

You can see the angle of my light is different.  Then after that…I had nothing to do so went around looking at stuff again. Oh mann, why did I come so early? To think that, some smart peeps came in at around 1pm. Basically, my whole afternoon was spent on eating snacks, chatting with friends, looking at portfolios and playing lame games. LOL.

The Digital film and video (DFV) corner  I probably shouldn’t post this picture here. The DFV corner is the only place with benches! So where do we go when our legs get tired? Go to the DFV corner for a short rest. Probably that’s why it’s quite messy there. Near the DFV corner was the games display where the games student displayed their game projects. I tried to play some of the games, but my interest didn’t last coz I kept losing. LOL. There was also a Wii game but the Wii game seems rather complicated, even after hearing this guy who explained the game to us. I still don’t get it. Oh well.

The boxes of Fusion Goodie Bags (wondering why there’s plates there?) 
Fusion Goodie Bag  Wondering why there’s dishes placed near the goodie bags? No, we are not assigned to wash dishes. Here’s why….

Inside the goodie bag. A dish with a CD placed on top.  The idea is quite innovative but…where’s the thumbdrive and fisherman’s sweet which were promised to be given as fusion gifts? (Not that I care about that pack of fisherman’s sweet though, heh) Anyway, after we collected the goodie bag from the counter. I went to take a few pictures and then it was soon time for the screening and career talk given by Imagi Studio and Lucasfilm Animation Singapore(LAS) at 7pm.

More looking around. 
Career talk by Imagi Studio. Just in case you don’t know, Imagi Studio was the animation firm who did the 3D TMNT movie back in March 2007. 
Then Lucasflm gave their talk about their Jedi Masters Program. 

After the talk ended, I went back to Fusion show at the auditorium hall and there was already not much crowd at area around my booth. But still, I got to see and talked to a few seniors and also met Keet Mun(one of the more popular seniors I think, haha).

A lot of my schoolmates went upstairs to the galleria for the recruitment drive and interviews held by some of the companies. The queue for Lucasfilm was especially long and all our school’s hotshots and star students went up there to get a review of their portfolio.

Today ended quite late due to the recruitment drive. I left the hall alittle later than 10pm. Was damn tired when I reached home so I went straight to bed after bathing. (without dinner) ZZzzz.
